The hardest part about today’s topic is that I don’t really have a favorite Christmas song — there are too many to pick from. However, one that kept coming to mind as I was trying to figure out what to day for today was “White Christmas.”
Next problem — how in the world do I address this topic in in a creative form? I thought about this for almost 24 hours. Good thing I started yesterday! But this afternoon it finally came to me. A poem.
Quiet, pristine, pure
Frosts tree, bushes, rock and fence
Painting town mountain, and field
Hearts at peace, at home
This poem is part of a Writing Challenge I have undertaken to write something every day in the month of December on a pre-selected list of topics. Photographer Jacqueline Ashford is keeping pace with me on the same list of topics, her with a camera and me with a keyboard. You can see Jacqueline’s gorgeous photos here. We’re having way too much fun with this mutual challenge. (You can see the list of topics here.)
